About Us
Children’s Therapy Tasmania (formally Nurture, Play and Healing) was born from a deep belief: that every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their story, their struggles, or the systems they find themselves in.
Founded by a therapist with both professional and lived experience of trauma and mental health, Children’s Therapy Tasmania was created to be more than a service. It was created as a space where children can feel safe to explore, express, and grow; where parents are seen and supported; and where therapists are nurtured in their important work.
We honour the unique culture of childhood and recognise that play, connection and relationships are at the heart of healing, growing and thriving. Our work is guided by authenticity, compassion and a fierce commitment to doing what’s right for children—even when it's complex.
We’re values-driven, trauma-responsive service offering therapeutic care to children and families, as well as supervision and training for professionals. We work across the whole system: supporting children, equipping parents, and resourcing practitioners.
